Taj-ul-Masajid means means crown amongs mosques. It is largest mosque in India.The pond/lake enhances the beauty of mosque and the city. Bhopal have many pond lakes. They work as open spaces and reservoirs of fresh drinking water. Open spaces are part of green infrastruture of the city which is a must for all cities.Green infrastructure is our defense againgst environmental problems of cities such as acid rain.
The construction of the Taj-ul-Masajid was started during the time of the Mughal Emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar by thenNawab of Bhopal Shah Jahan Begumof Bhopal and continued to be built by her daughter Sultan Jahan Begum. The mosque was not completed due to lack of funds, and after a long lay-off after the War of 1857, construction was resumed in 1971 by great efforts of Allama Mohammad Imran Khan Nadwi Azhari and Maulana Sayed Hashmat Ali Sahab of Bhopal. The construction was completed by 1985 and the entrance (eastern) gate was renovated grandly using ancient motifs from circa 1250 Syrian mosques by the contribution of the Emir of Kuwait to commemorate the memory of his departed wife.

ISRO launched fifth GPS Satellite which is part of a series of 7 satelites. the first satellite was launched in July 2013.Two more such satellites will be launched in the next two month and with this India’s Desi regional navigation system will be operational.Four satellites launched earlier are already operational. While four satellites are sufficient to start operations of the IRNSS system, the remaining three are needed to make the signal available all time with both accuracy and precision.The satellites continuously beam data that can be read by hand-held instruments or smart phones with a 20 metres accuracy standards. India is now in the elite club after USA, Russia and China to have a satellite-based navigation system.This GPS system will have an error margin of no more than 20 metres. It will cover a region of about 1,500 km from India’s borders in the region from which the India consider a threat perception.It was ISRO’s 33rd PSLV launch and the first this year.
