South West Asia has been among the first regions of the world to undergo civilization and adapt the varied concept of modernization to be an example. Various famous empires tried to seek control of the region owing to its significant location and precious resources. But the mighty lands of South West Asia always flourished and evolved into a successful empire that it is today. Here is a look at some of the historically important facts about South West Asia.

In the yester years

· During the significant reign of Egypt and Mesopotamia, South West Asia became a battleground for various important battles from 3000 to 2500 B.C.

· Assyrians and Persians fought to gain control over the mighty land to develop it as they pleased and acquire the precious resources for their own good.

· Finally the Arabs conquered the lands of South West Asia in 630 AD and ruled for almost a decade leaving behind some of the empire’s historic values and ethics to the people.

· This conquest was followed by the arrival of Mongol dynasty that did more harm than good by devastating most of the property. This caused a huge uprising which led to the rule of Ottoman Turks until the late 1900s.

Undergoing the Western Influence

· At that point of South West Asian History, a revolution was brewing. Virtually the entire region was under direct or indirect hold, which was now to be reversed by the nationalist forces comprising of defeated Turkish.

· The negotiation that followed resulted in a new peaceful and more secular republic known as Persia, now known as Iran.

Post War Development and Changes

· The people of South West Asia were constantly at war to gain independence for themselves and their loved ones. It finally happened after the end of World War 2 that all of South West Asia had now gained formal independence with only a little influence of the outside parties on the economy of South West Asia.

· A new wave of more secure and revolutionary government took place that overthrew the conservative parliamentary and all the external forces. In 1947, a special committee from UN recommended to end the influence of external factors and allied forces, asking to partition Palestine into an Arab and Israeli state. Peace finally arrived for the people of South West Asia.

Current Scenario

· South West Asia is now a successful and equally advanced part of the world, standing tall with other important nations. Some of the oldest cities are located here, which makes South West Asia a land of rich history and culture.

· Several places in South West Asia have been blessed with ample natural resources such as oil reserves and have brought great prosperity for its people and government.

· South West Asia is now a cradle of different religions, and visiting a place as ancient and oriental as this will leave you mesmerized and make you wonder about our past.
